Arrived on a stormy day, with wind and rain warnings in full effect. Thankfully, the storm
stopped almost as soon as we arrived. This allowed us to spend time on the beach looking
at what stars were visible.
The next day dawned clear and beautiful. A variety of activities were pursued, including
canoeing, hiking, Frisbee, sandsculpture building and some hardy souls even went swimming.
Capped the night off with a campfire, with the obligatory s’mores and enough green dinosaurs
to kill a small horse (thanks Scott!). The stars were gorgeous that night and three members
spent the night sleeping on the beach to get the full effect.
Final day was beautiful as well and most of us hated to leave. Instead, we took in the Fungi
walk, where we learned more about mushrooms than I thought was possible.
